Experiment Reagent and Material
Sample :2.5 g Quartz Sand
Reagent:6ml nitric acid AR,5ml hydrofluoric acid AR;
Experiment Procedures
1. Weight 2.5011g quartz sand sample ( precision 0.1mg) to fill into digestion vessels, and add 5mL hydrofluoric acid and 6mL nitric acid . Put inner vessel into outer vessel and place on the benchtop for 10 mins.
2. Load vessels on the sample rotor and digest according to below steps
3. After digestion and cooling finished, put digestion vessels into the fume hood,wait until vessels temperature goes to ambient and then go to next step.
4. Unscrew the vessel and release the pressure for several times. Then keep vessels open and put on the heating blocks. Set temperature at 160℃ to evaporate completely and then open the inner vessel.

● Follow user instruments strictly for operation.
● Make sure there is enough space for Ventilation and operation.
● Do not run without samples. There must be at least one digestion vessel with sample solution on the rotor.
● Make sure digestion vessel, inner vessel, outer vessel, sample rotor,auxiliary platform and chamber are dry and clean.
●Wear acid proof and heat insulation gloves during operation.
●Reduce the sample volume appropriately according to the difficulty of the sample digestion and the viscosity of the sample.
●Make sure sample fineness is uniform to avoid any effect on digestion performance.
Quartz sand digestion is high efficient sample preparation method, user shall follow operation instructions strictly. User shall optimize operation procedures according to onsite situation.
